Blackboard Issues on Windows Vista
Vista and Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2.0 browser is compatible with Blackboard. However, there are some minor problems on the Text Box Editor feature.
When using the new MS Vista Operating System you may incurr difficulty with the Blackboard Text Editor. To repair the Issue, please take the following 2 actions.
- Set Browser security
- Make Advance Text Features Unavailable
Set IE 7 Browser Security
- Open IE 7
- Click on Tools and Select Internet Options
- Click On Security Tab
- Click Custom Level Button
- In the Reset to drop down list select Medium
- Click Reset
- Click OK
- Click OK
- Click Apply
- Click OK
Make Advanced Text Features Unavailable:
1. Click on Course Tools menu located under the "My Institution" tab.
2. Click on the Personal Information.
3. Select "Set Visual Text Box Editor Options".
4. Change the setting from available to unavailable and click Submit.
5. Click OK.
The Message box should appear when we go to enter text message in the text box field.
